Richard ‘RJ’ Encinas joined the CHRIS 180 team in 2023 as the first VP, Wraparound Services at CHRIS 180.  In this role, he leads our family and community support programs, that provide proactive, intensive support resources to youth and families that help mitigate crises and keep families together.

Encinas brings more than 14 years of experience and expertise in high-quality, intensive, comprehensive mental and behavioral healthcare to the CHRIS 180 team.

During his career, he has grown and developed various programs targeted around direct support, family support, crisis response/interventions, counseling, high needs programming and other essential areas.

A graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences with a focus in psychology, he enjoys working collaboratively with natural and community-based supports programs to coordinate treatments and care plans for those who with extensive needs.

Encinas and his spouse are licensed foster and adoptive parents and have three charming children. RJ enjoys traveling, being outside, working out and spending as much family time as possible.
